This is aimed at anyone who has already learnt the basics of sailing and wants to get back in a boat! It is for those who would like to progress their skills and perhaps like to try out racing.
These sessions take place on Sunday afternoons after the beginner sailing (so you don’t even need to rig your own boats!). Depending on demand we hope to run a series of races later in the semester as bit of fun and to put what you’ve been learning into practice.
If you are interested in this then please don’t hesitate to email our dinghy secretary (dinghysec@eusc.org.uk) and let them know what you would hope to get out of these sessions. This helps us to plan these sessions for your benefit.
These sessions are run by people who sail for the university team so you will be in good hands! There may even be opportunities to fill in at some events later in the semester if we need reserves – so get practising!
As with the beginner sessions, we will be sailing at Linlithgow loch. This is a 20min train journey for which we will meet at the CSE and travel together. It is £5 return on the train. We will meet at 12 at the CSE to gather any kit that people might need and then head to Linlithgow.
Any questions, email dinghysec@eusc.org.uk or join the Facebook Group to find the weekly sign up sheets.
