Each university sailing club needs six Fireflies to compete in the British University Team Racing Championships.
Here at Edinburgh, our boats have been the backbone of student sailing for over 12 years, but after thousands of hours on the water, they’re showing their age.

To keep our sailors safe and competitive, we urgently need to replace them before the fleet becomes unfit for racing.
We are now raising funds to purchase a brand-new fleet of Fireflies, so we can continue competing at the highest level and expand sailing opportunities for everyone in our club. The boats will also be used by other unis at events, helping university sailing across Scotland thrive.

We’ve already raised £40,000 of £60,000 required, and we’re aiming to raise the final £20,000 over the next two years.
Every donation brings us closer, and we’re incredibly grateful for any support you can give.
